1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using EarnLode ("Service," "Platform," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

EarnLode is an income tracking and tax data organization platform designed for content creators. We provide tools to track multi-platform income and organize data for tax purposes. We do not provide tax advice, tax calculations, or tax filing services.

2. Eligibility

To use EarnLode, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
• Provide accurate and complete account information
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

3. Account Registration

3.1 Account Creation

Account authentication is managed through Firebase Auth. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of unauthorized access

3.2 Account Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, but you are responsible for protecting your account credentials. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized access due to your failure to safeguard your login information.

4. Subscription Plans & Pricing

4.1 Billing

• All payments are processed securely through Stripe
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled
• Prices are in USD and subject to change with 30 days' notice
• We do not store credit card information

4.2 Refund Policy

• Monthly subscriptions: 7-day money-back guarantee
• Annual subscriptions: 14-day money-back guarantee
• Tax Package purchases: Refundable before any export is generated
• Refunds processed within 5-10 business days

5. Acceptable Use

5.1 Permitted Use

You may use EarnLode to:

• Track income from legitimate content creation activities
• Organize financial data for personal or business tax purposes
• Generate reports and exports for your own use

5.2 Prohibited Activities

You may NOT:

• Use the Service for illegal activities or money laundering
• Upload fraudulent or false income data
• Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or compromise the platform
• Share your account with others
• Resell or redistribute our services
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

6. Data Accuracy & Responsibility

You acknowledge that:

• EarnLode does not validate income amounts or sources
• Currency conversion uses official US Treasury rates, but you should verify conversions
• Platform fee reminders are general guidance—verify against bank statements
• Export formats are for organizational purposes, not official tax forms
• You must consult a qualified tax professional for tax advice

8. Currency Conversion

Multi-currency income is converted to USD using official exchange rates from the US Treasury Fiscal Data API.

• Rates are published by the US Treasury (typically 2-3 business days after quarter-end)
• Records display "[Awaiting official rate]" until rates are available
• Automatic rate checks occur daily when you access the dashboard
• Once converted, rates are locked and not recalculated
• We are not responsible for delays in official rate publication

9. Data Ownership & Export

9.1 Your Data

You retain ownership of all income and expense data you enter. EarnLode does not claim rights to your financial information.

9.2 Data Export

• Free users: Limited export functionality
• Pro users: CSV and Excel export
• Tax Package users: Full exports including PDF reports and QuickBooks format

9.3 Data Deletion

You may request full account deletion at any time. All data will be permanently deleted within 30 days (backup systems within 90 days).

10. Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.

• Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible
• We are not liable for service interruptions due to third-party providers
• No refunds for temporary service outages under 24 hours

11. Intellectual Property

11.1 Our Rights

EarnLode, its logo, design, algorithms, and all platform features are the intellectual property of EarnLode. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works
• Reverse engineer the platform
• Remove copyright or trademark notices

11.2 Sponsorship Calculator

The sponsorship pricing calculator and its underlying algorithm are proprietary. Results are estimates only and not legally binding.

You agree to indemnify and hold EarnLode harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your use of the Service
• Inaccurate data you provided
• Tax-related issues resulting from your reliance on our tools

14. Termination

14.1 By You

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Access continues until the end of your billing period.

14.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Fail to pay subscription fees
• Pose a security risk to the platform

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or platform notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
